After I completed writing the four books of the Double Helix series, I decide to combine them into a collection for readers. Of course, that led to a new challenge–what kind of cover could encompass the series–a story about friendship, love, and compassion pitted against the perils of cutting edge genetic engineering? In the end, I opted for something simple. Danyael and Zara, and the shape of a man created from DNA (if you look at the bottom of the cover, you’ll see the double helix.) The man–Galahad–separates Danyael and Zara–and in the end, as perhaps is fitting, he is also the reason they’re together.
Many readers have asked if they need to read all the books of the Double Helix in order. It’s best to read the four main books of the Double Helix (Perfection Unleashed, Perfect Betrayal, Perfect Weapon, and Perfection Challenged) in order. The other books are standalone, but fill in the gaps, sometimes tying up the loose ends, in the main series. If you want to read them all in order, here’s the sequence:
2. Perfection Unleashed (Double Helix #1)
3. Perfect Betrayal (Double Helix #2)
5. Perfect Weapon (Double Helix #3)
6. When the Silence Ends
7. Carnival Tricks
8. Perfection Challenged (Double Helix #4)
The Double Helix Collection (e-book) includes Perfection Unleashed, Perfect Betrayal, Perfect Weapon, When the Silence Ends, and Perfection Challenged, and is available at a significant discount than buying each book separately.
